On Wednesday, November 16, 2016, the Williamsburg Chapter #1755 donated a check of $1000.00 to the Arc of Greater Williamsburg Day Support group for adults with developmental disabilities. This program provides continuing education, life skills training, recreational opportunities, pre-vocational training, and community service opportunities for the adults. This also allows a respite for care givers three days a week. This program is excited to offer this to the disabled in the Williamsburg area.
The money for this donation was raised from the Women of the Moose's Chapter #1755 golf tournament held earlier this year. Executive Director Pam McGregor, Teacher Lisa Steele and assistants Carol and Virginia were included at the presentation along with program participants Patrick, Alexis, Chloe, James, and Nancy. The chairperson for the event was Denise Johnson, assistants Shelly Bishop and Jim Johnson, along with Patti Sanford.
